A primeira caixa de LPs de rock não-coletâneas ou reedições do mundo pode ter sido brasileira, Jovem Brasa, com os grupos The Beggars e The Blackstones (Discastro, 1967), dois ultra raros grupos brasileiros de Beat – 1964.The Beggers e The Blackstones foram pioneiros numa experiência discográfica única, nos anos 60. Lançaram seu trabalho conjunto num formato revolucionário, uma caixa contendo três LPs, que alguns consideram ser a primeira box set da história do vinil.
