Engineered and Recorded at 70hrtz in Argyle, Texas Mixed at September Sound in London Mastered at the Echo Lab in Argyle, Texas.

Lift to Experience is an American indie rock band from Denton, Texas, that formed in 1996 with vocalist and guitarist Josh T. Pearson, drummer Andy "The Boy" Young and bassist Josh "The Bear" Browning. When the band performed at the South by Southwest festival in 2000, they impressed Simon Raymonde and Robin Guthrie so much that the duo decided to sign the band to their record label, Bella Union, that same day.

The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads. The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is a double album from Denton, Texas-based indie rock trio Lift to Experience. The album was released on June 26, 2001, and was the first and thus far only full-length recording from the band

The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads. Indie Rock Lift To Experience. Band Name Lift To Experience. Album Name The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads. Released date 26 June 2001.

The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads mixes poetic imagery with controlled feedback and emotional expression like few albums outside of My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless. It’s a magnificent yet somehow subtle work of genius that delivers its strange message with incredible innovation and an inspiring feeling of a groundbreaking mission accomplished.

The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads is such a heavy album, both musically and thematically. Was it tough to get back into the right mindset to perform these songs? Not as tough as I thought it might be. The interesting thing is seeing how your body remembers the tunes. It's a totally different way I play these songs because over the last few years I've been playing acoustic songs and country stuff alone on the road wherever I can. This is a completely different way of playing: alternate tuning and effects. I rely on distortion on and off for crescendos and fluidity. You've said it wasn't money, so what made you revive Lift To Experience? David Bowie dying. We're having the record coming out remixed, which is exciting for me because my regret with it was the way it was mixed. It wasn't mixed properly because we couldn't be there for the mixing.

Album The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads. Waiting To Hit Lyrics. Tell the world before it explodes The glory of the Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads. I said "Lord I'll make you a deal; I will if you give me a smash hit so I can build a 'city on a hill'.

Such a wonderful and giant record... More time pass and more these music grow. Powerful, majestic and beautiful. A great classic. And about the vinyl... Strangely short for a double cd, it's the perfect duration for a double vinyl LP. The sound of this pressing is excellent: heavy, clear and dynamic. And finally, the quite ugly artwork have his charm, and seeing it on a vinyl cardboard make it better. I finally really like the object. And another good point about the vinyl version is to have put the Untitled Track (hidden on the cd after 20 min) just after the final song "Into the Storm". Such a bad idea for the cd, because it make perfect sense with the two tracks together, and a powerful ending to this amazing album.
