A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar (2003). It's a great mainstream rock album. Oh, you want to know more? Well, there's not much else to say. Any remainder of the Dashboard Confessional thousands of kids fell in love with - one man, one guitar, one heart pouring out - is pretty much three sheets to the wind by this point. The full band has become what Dashboard Confessional is now, with the solo acoustic tracks becoming more of an afterthought than anything else

Band Name Dashboard Confessional. Album Name A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar. Released date 19 August 2003. Labels Vagrant Records. Members owning this album1.

Prior to A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar, Dashboard Confessional was basically just Chris Carrabba on his acoustic guitar. For this album he picked up a full band, which is a good thing, because Carrabba’s acoustic work wasn’t going to get him much farther. There’s nothing offensive about Dashboard; clean guitars, nice vocals and harmless lyrics give them an undeniably mainstream-friendly sound. One must look deeper than the docile surface to find what makes Dashboard great. What makes this album and Dashboard great is the emotion.

I wife just bought this and our copy sounds great! Dynamic and clean.

My copy sounds good.. not sure what everyone us talking about!
Gavirim
My copy has minimal noise after cleaning it up but the sound quality is horrible. Cheap pressing. The dynamics sound off. One of the worst records I have sound quality wise. I would not recommend purchasing a copy, 1/5 stars.
Malara
Mine had no noise, however for the price the packaging feels cheap, sound quality is 4/5 stars more likely cd sourced but it sounds better than the cd at least in my system, UO needs to step up their game with exclusive releases!

After reading the reviews for these recent reissues i was scared to open mine when they arrived (This and Dusk and Summer), but honestly, after cleaning them and playing them I am quite happy with the pressing. There no terrible surface noise and only the odd quiet tick. Dynamically they probably could be a little better, but i have heard far worse mastering for vinyl presses than these. I am happy with them. 4 out of 5 starts.
elektron
I got this and Dusk and Summer and they both sound terrible. The UO pressing is just not good.

Thanks for the tip, I am at urban now and see it $9.99 and checked here for exactly comments like this. Just saved me $10 thanks!

This album showed up and appeared to have been used to sweep a concrete floor. Cleaned and listened....sounds like absolute garbage. Got the "Dusk and Summer" album too....exactly the same quality. I hate Urban Outfitters, but have to pick stuff up from them because of the cool exclusives they get...but, these Dashboard releases are complete garbage.
Grokinos
Despite all the negative reviews, I rolled the dice on two copies on sale. Both copies look like they were thrown across a concrete floor. Lots of surface noise when playing.

Got mine today in the mail. Cleaned it. Spun it. RETURNED IT. Do not buy this abortion. It is a cash grab and is garbage. Sound (after VPI cleaning) was whispy and the music was definitely cd sourced as it was quiet and had zero dynamics. DO NOT BUY.
Kalv
Can confirm. Sounds very very empty and flat. Bummer
