That's what Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic is : a piece of art full of romantic hope and melodramatic pessimism making a hide and seek. That's a point I love with Secede, a point that is actually his difference and singularity. He perfectly goes from bright and naive moments to dark and desperate ones. He's like a nevrotic and too intelligent child, knowing a bit too early that life is going to be a very joyful experience, but filled with a lot of pain as well. And that's the main difference with Tryshasla, which is a far more peacefull and spiritual journey. Here it's dark and ill. It's not the story of someone who is dying (that's what Tryshasla is), but someone who is alive and smile or suffer with his memories(yet for me, not officially).Musically speaking, the album is made of incredible minimalistic melodies living with a lot of voices and strange sounds you could hear in your dreams or remind from very old memories.This lo-fi way to produce shows that Beauty shines even better when it's disturbed by found sounds and noises of everyday life.The second part of this journey is more powered with joyful and upbeat moments, full of light, hope and colors.Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic is a cornerstone in my music taste, and perhaps in my life.
