On the Chasm EP, HOLY STRAYS has drawn on his own field recordings, traditional gospel music, sacred chants, early Morricone soundtracks and contemporary electronics to conjure up his own world and musical vocabulary – folklore being a constant object of study and one of the producer’s recurring obsessions. HOLY STRAYS, aka 23 year old Sebastien Forrester, lives in Paris but grew up in Gabon, Texas and the Caribbean – different backgrounds that helped forge his musical identity. Acquired during his early years in Africa, his passion for percussion has been a constant.

Sebastien Forrester, a French bohemian artist based in Paris, France who traffics within a melange of aliases but whose freshest mask is Holy Strays. Stuttering drum loops, hypnotic keyboard spirals, and melodic fogs that float up then dissipate. The elements are all there gelling up a superlative sound.
