Blue Period (PRLP 140) is a 1953 10" LP album by Miles Davis, his second released by Prestige Records, recorded over the course of two 1951 recording sessions at New York's Apex Studio. Bluing" and "Out of the Blue", two Davis compositions, were recorded on October 5, 1951, at the same session as the material for his first album The New Sounds (PRLP 124)

Blue Moods is the second 12" album by Miles Davis, released on Charles Mingus' Debut Records label in late 1955. It brings Miles Davis on trumpet together with Charles Mingus on bass, trombonist Britt Woodman, vibraphonist Teddy Charles, and drummer Elvin Jones. The arrangement of "Alone Together" is by Charles Mingus, while the other tracks were arranged by Teddy Charles.

When Miles Davis visited the UK in the autumn of 1960, there was no big fanfare about his recently released album Kind of Blue. The trumpeter played now-lost venues such as the Gaumont Palace cinemas in Kilburn and Lewisham, London – starting and ending his sets with songs from the album – and at the time, he told a friend of my father’s, a promoter called Jim Ireland who was looking after parts of his tour, that he expected to make little money from Kind of Blue.
