Complete your Catherine Wheel collection. Rolling Stone originally gave it a . /5 and then changed their score later. Catherine Wheel's first two albums were shoegaze influenced but this one, their 4th, is more AOR sounding. It has some Pink Floyd-like moments. Their 3rd, Happy Days, was more American alternative rock sounding.
Other guitarist Brian Futter, bassist Dave Hawes, and drummer Neil Sims negotiate a maze of hues and tints, from peaceful, pretty solitude to the most desperate pathos

Get Adam & Eve. It's the very best album from a group of guys whom I clearly believe to be the very best band. It changed my taste in music. I loved loved Catherine Wheel's 1995 grunge heavy metal album "Happy Days" when I was 15. I listened to it all the time, turned it up loud, and fed off its pounding energy. I was so excited when I heard in early 1997 that Catherine Wheel has a new album coming. I couldn't wait I was disappointed.

Even by Catherine Wheel's lofty standards, Adam and Eve is boldly realized. The album is also an impressive thematic whole formed by two untitled tracks that start and finish the LP, with gentle connectors between songs in which chords of one tune drift quietly into the start of the next.
Artist: Catherine Wheel Album: Like Cats & Dogs Genre: Rock Date: 1996-09-10 Label: Mercury, Universal. Peeling back from the aural onslaught of Happy Days, the band exposed more of their atmospheric knack for 1997's Adam and Eve (released by Chrysalis in the . which was also designed to play as a single piece. Frustrated with the current generation's aversion to listening to a single record through its entirety, they went so far as to bring in Bob Ezrin to give it a classic front-to-back feel; they obviously liked the result of Like Cats and Dogs and the result of Adam and Eve was just as pleasing.
