Roger the Engineer (originally released in the UK as Yardbirds and in the US, Germany, France and Italy as Over Under Sideways Down) is an album by English rock band the Yardbirds. Recorded and released in 1966, it is the only Yardbirds album with guitarist Jeff Beck on all tracks and contains all original material.

The album is officially titled simply Yardbirds but the common name for the album, due to its cover art depicting the album’s audio engineer, Roger Cameron, is Roger the Engineer. My copy is titled as such. This album is the only album by the Yardbirds featuring all original material. The album was included in Robert Dimery's 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die and in 2012, the album was ranked No. 349 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time

Despite a handful of brilliant moments, Roger the Engineer falls short of expectations, partially because the band is reluctant to leave their blues roots behind and partially because they simply can't write a consistent set of songs
