Dreams and Daggers is an album by American jazz singer Cécile McLorin Salvant that includes songs recorded both during live performance and in the studio. The album was released as a set of two CDs or three LPs on Mack Avenue Records on September 29, 2017.

Ten Past Twelve, by Cécile.

La vie en rose Lyrics. Hold me close and hold me fast The magic spell you cast This is la vie en rose When you kiss me, Heaven sighs And though I close my eyes I see la vie en rose. Quand il me prend dans ses bras Il me parle de tout bas Je vois la vie en rose Everytime you kiss me, Heaven sighs Il me dit des mots d'amour Don't know why Des mots de tous les jours I close my eyes Et ça m'fait quelque chose. If only you would Give your heart and soul to me And life will always be La vie en rose

Ultimate chill out album. I would pose that Richard D. James Album is a close runner up; that's a masterpiece as well. Such an amazing album that got me through my angsty teens and beyond. I've not really met many people who've even heard of them. Also, I have the white pony outline tattoo'd on my inner forearm.

Just before Christmas, I'm happy to offer you the sweetness of a new song from my album Enfant Du Vent Discover here "Vent Frais", recorded with the beautiful Anima children choir. First song of the album "Enfant Du Vent".

this album was Thee Bible of Trance for me in the 90s and after losing my entire collection of albums, Bible of Dreams was in the first group of albums replaced. now, 20+ years later, it is still one of my favourite albums of any genre. the songs everyone knows are the danciest, of course. but the more ambient selections should not be overlooked. Odds are if you're a fan of trance, you've heard and own something by Juno Reactor. Bible of Dreams was Juno Reactor's first big step towards the tribal influences that they've become known for today (hints of this were seen on Beyond The Infinite, but not nearly as recognized as on here). I'd say the first half of this CD is the stronger part here.

Michael Fremer Cécile McLorin Salvant: Dreams and Daggers Cécile McLorin Salvant, vocals; Aaron Diehl, piano; Paul Sikivie, bass, ar. Lawrence Leathers, drums. With: Sullivan Fortner, piano; Catalyst String Quartet. Skillfully played, sung, and recorded, and sumptuously packaged in a gatefold sleeve, this album sets a high bar for a vinyl release. Why vinyl? After years of listening to Van Morrison's Astral Weeks on CD, they found an original vinyl copy and were shocked by what they'd been missing.
