Town Hall, 1962 is an album by Ornette Coleman released on the ESP-Disk label. It was the first recording featuring at its heart his new trio after the ensemble of his Atlantic years.

For this Town Hall concert, Coleman debuts with his new trio (a unit that would return in 1965) featuring the remarkable bassist David Izenson and drummer Charles Moffett. Together they perform "Doughnut," "Sadness," and an extensive 23-and-a-half minute version of "The Ar. In addition, a string quartet performs Colemans' "Dedication to Poets and Writers.
When Ornette Coleman promoted this concert in December 1962, he was already in the midst of a long withdrawal from the public stage. Until the Town Hall event, his 1962 performances had consisted of a single concert and a week at the Jazz Gallery six months previously. Further, he hadn't recorded in a studio since March 1961. Following the concert, he wouldn't perform or record commercially until 1965.
