The Others are an English rock band, signed to Poptones in July 2004 and their eponymous debut album was released on 31 January 2005. The band formed in 2002 and quickly became renowned for their riotous live shows. By 2004, they had started to perform so-called "guerilla gigs", which saw them play on a Hammersmith & City line tube train, on the dodgems at the Leeds festival, and on the famous Abbey Road crossing in London.

Very few of these were made. Once they are gone, they are gone for good. Out of all the bands in the early- to mid-2000s revival of British punk and new wave, the Others are perhaps the most indebted to classic 1977 punk rock. Unlike most, they owe nothing to dance-friendly new wave, and similarly eschew the angularity of the large pack of Gang of Four-influenced bands that were the movement's critical and commercial darlings.

Get all the boys, go dancing Jumbled in the urban heat Safety in the darkness Confusion, hunger, banjaxed. That’s how The Others died That’s how they’ll die again That’s how The Others died And that’s how they’ll die again And again and again and again And again and again and again And again and again and again And again and again and again (Again, again, again, again). That’s how The Others died That’s how they’ll die again That’s how The Others died And that’s how they’ll die again And again and again and again And again and again and again And again and again and again And again and again and again. Spare Parts is the second studio album by the English rock band Status Quo, and the final one in the psychedelic vein. It is also the first in which the group's roadie Bob Young began writing and co-writing songs for and with the band. The album covers a song written by Carole King and Gerry Goffin, "You're Just What I Was Looking for Today". Only one song was slated for a single release.
