A compilation of pretty much all the original Ruts output. They finished one full album (The Crack) before falling apart but had some killer singles pulled together for another LP (Grin and Bear It). While Babylon Burning is remembered, the Ruts had some other brilliant tunes, notably In A Rut, Starting At The Rude Boys and Something That I Said. Time for a Ruts reappraisal, and all the arguments in their favour are in these two albums.

The Ruts, Ruts DC are an English reggae-influenced punk rock band, notable for the 1979 UK Top 10 hit "Babylon's Burning", and an earlier single "In a Rut", which was not a hit but was highly regarded and regularly played by BBC Radio 1 disc jockey John Peel. The Ruts were formed on 18 August 1977 and played their first gig at the Target pub in Northolt, Middlesex.
