Tears of Joy is my ninth album. Recorded over a residency with hailed engineer Martin Levan at Red Kite Studios in the seclusion of deepest Carmarthenshire, I was joined by a host of world class musicians, including the Antonio Forcione Quartet. For me, Tears of Joy truly marks the affirmation of my vision as a composer and arranger. An mixture of original material, the music on Tears Of Joy has been written, arranged and produced by myself. I have tried to evoke a wide range of emotions from deep contemplation to ecstatic celebration with emotional depth.

Antonio Forcione has been hailed as "the Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar" and his live performances have established him as one of the most charismatic and talented musicians working in the UK today, a sentiment that would be echoed by his many fans the world over (I am one of them). This LP is one of the best of my collection. Recording is perfect, clear, maybe you'll feel like Antonio is playing by your side. Great guitarist, best acoustic guitar.

Antonio Forcione Antonio Forcione (b. 1960) is an Italian guitarist, composer and performer who lives in London where he started recording for Naim, a record label he has been with ever since. As a guitar player, many musicians recognize his qualities and Forcione has toured festivals around the world, double-billing with renowned guitar players such as John McLauglin, John Scofield and Leo Kotke  . Forcione's talents and innovative approach are not limited to guitar playing only. He has explored his horizons by playing in musical comedy theatre shows, and from 1992-1996 he was musical director of the Olé troupe.
