Boom is the second studio album by the American garage rock band The Sonics, released in February 1966. Boom was released in 1966 by record label Etiquette ET-ALBS-027. Like its predecessor Here Are The Sonics (1965), Boom was influential on later punk rock music (see protopunk). Gerry Roslie – keyboard, vocals.
In addition to the band's two original hits (recorded and originally issued on the Etiquette label), there are 13 sides that were cut at the band's last session in 1966.
Introducing The Sonics (LP, Album). Jerden, Jerden, Jerden. JRLS-7007, JRLS 7007, JR 7007. This collection is an excellent introduction to the Sonics. Had they been handled right, they could have been a top band in their day. Gerrie Roslie seems to be a big part of the talent behind their sound.
