Osteye I was introduced to serpentwithfeet through four ethers and it has become a favourite song of mine. Amazing artist, highly recommend to others. Josiah Wise (born July 9, 1988), known professionally as serpentwithfeet, is an experimental musician based in Brooklyn, New York. Wise released the EP blisters in 2016 and his debut studio album soil in 2018. Wise was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up amongst a religious family; his father owned a Christian bookstore and his mother was a choir director. Wise joined the church choir as a child and grew up with classical and gospel music as a primary influence.

Far from a cry for attention, Wise’s look and his musical project serpentwithfeet is the result of self-realization that the best version of himself is a fiercely honest gay man, bringing a voice to all the melancholy and unpalatable aspects of not only his sexuality but his psyche.
