A unique Venezuelan album by Tito Puente – and one of the best we've heard from his years for RCA! The groove here is very hard – very deserving of the "Mas Dance Mania" in the title – and there's a strong Cuban groove that really drives most of the tunes, with Tito's percussion really turned up a fair bit in the mix! There's a fair bit of tracks that roll along in a hard mambo or guaguanco mode – and even though there's vocals on many numbers, the real focus here is on the percussion. Titles include "Temptation", "Tito's Merengue", "The Fence", and "Cha Cha Cha Bounce" by Tito; "Make A Box" and "Mambo No 5" by Melino Orchestra; "Coca Roca" and "Brazil" by Tico Orchestra; and "Long Gone" by Neil Lewis. LP, Vinyl record album. One of the greatest Tito Puente albums from the 50s, and a spare percussion jam session that's right up there with his legendary Puente In Percussion album!
