Lonely Town (Extended Version). Dearer darkness have come home again. With those when you're on your own. But what can we do? What can we do to feel alive? Trust your heart, like a believer Althought you never see the light. Find your way to another's heart, to make it through the night. Trust your heart, like a believer Althought You never.
On a Night Like This" is a song written by Bob Dylan and recorded in November 1973. It first appeared on Dylan's 14th studio album, Planet Waves, as the opening track. On the Town is a musical with music by Leonard Bernstein and book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, based on Jerome Robbins' idea for his 1944 ballet Fancy Free, which he had set to Bernstein's music. The musical introduced several popular and classic songs, among them "New York, New York", "Lonely Town", "I Can Cook, Too" (for which Bernstein also wrote the lyrics), and "Some Other Time".
Absolutely Live (Rod Stewart album) - Concert SD 3-23 82 The making of this album! Jeanene Hogan. Lonely Night (Angel Face) - Captain & Tennille. If I could read your mind, love, What a tale your thoughts could tell. Just like a paperback novel, The kind the drugstores sell. Then you reached the part where the heartaches come, The hero would be me. But heroes often fail, And you won't read that book again Because the ending's just too hard to take.
See the mayor of Lonely Town standing in the square At the county fair Shouting his message out, but there's no one there (Oh, there) And the silence surrounds but he's lost in the sound Of their army of fifes and drums Marching for mayor of Lonely Town, population: one (Sha, bada, bada, bada, bada). If you want to go to Lonely Town Just pay the fare (Babada, dabada, dabada) Unless you're with me, then you'll get in for free, 'cause, baby I know the mayor (Dadadoh). No one seems to want to be near; they all run away But deep inside, a song.
A town's a lonely town, When you pass through And there is no one waiting there for you, Then it's a lonely town. You wander up and down, The crowds rush by, A million faces pass before your eye, Still it's a lonely town. Unless there's love, A love that's shining like a harbor light, You're lost in the night; Unless there's love, The world's an empty place And every town's a lonely town. Teile diesen Songtext.
