The songs on Inside the Shipwreck were written and recorded between 2004-2005 when I lived in a garret in a grey city while in attending university. Each moves at roughly a heartbeat’s tempo, and is was this notion, mixed with a fascination of bog mummies and ocean liner wreckage that inspired the music/words. Joshua Rex is primarily a painter (fine art) but has been a songwriter most of his life.
Rex is the fifth studio album by English rock band T. Rex and the first released under that name since changing their name from Tyrannosaurus Rex. It was released on 18 December 1970 by record labels Fly and Reprise. The album marked a further shift from the band's previous folk style to a minimal rock sound.

Joshua was the 2016 recipient of the Marcus Prize, bestowed upon architects on a trajectory to greatness.

Artwork page for ‘The Shipwreck’, Joseph Mallord William Turner, exhibited 1805 on display at Tate Britain. Shipwrecks and other disasters at sea were a recurrent theme in Romantic painting. We don’t know whether this painting was inspired by an actual shipwreck, or the reissue in 1804 of a famous poem on the theme by William Falconer. Turner defines the essence of such an experience through overwhelming impressions of realism and horror.
