What a nice little hidden at first glance gem. This pressing and retro release as part of the UK EMI-Capitol singles collection (all singles were available and sold separately from an on-counter display) The singles used a striking variant of the original Silver text on Wine labels with the USA Washington Capitol "Dome" image, Using black text on post box red labels.First glance, because this pressing is Stereo has the UK EMI Stereo identifier of "Y" the Mono "X",As I don't have a copy of this single to hand I am unable to confirm what kind of two separate channels this Stereo pressing is. Duophonic as in the 1970s Greatest Hits (B&W sleeve) or even true Stereo.......odds are on Duophonic but hey ho. Nice little retro gem to have.Originally released as an exclusive UK stop-gap single in 1967 it caught the moment and market and became a big hit here for the guys. IMHO I think their version knocks the Chrystals original in to a cocked hat. This has real emotion, depth and feeling, that the tiny squeeky wishy-washy Chrystals original lacks. The Boys did a grand job on this and I Can Hear Music.
