Live at the It Club is a Thelonious Monk album released posthumously by Columbia Records. Recorded October 31 and November 1, 1964 at the "It" Club in Los Angeles, California, the album features Monk's quartet performing original compositions as well as jazz standards. The album was first issued in 1982 as a double-LP entitled Live At The "It" Club.

The band is in terrific form, with Monk clearly stimulated by the tightness of his rhythm section and Rouse's strong playing

Only 17 left in stock (more on the way). Monk was quite busy, of course, making most of the Solo Monk album while playing these shows. A similar set of songs with similar run times shows up a few nights later on Live at the Jazz Workshop: Complete, which completes a sort of box set of this tour. During this window, a number of superb recordings were made, but I'd assert that "Live at the It Club" is best of them. The band was an fire- their interaction managed during these shows to strike a great balance between tight interaction and looseness.

Both songs are included in Monk's 1964 live album, Live at the It Club. Cliff Edwards had a hit recording of the song in 1929. Bing Crosby recorded it in 1954 for use on his radio show and it was subsequently included in the box set The Bing Crosby CBS Radio Recordings (1954-56) issued by Mosaic Records (catalog MD7-245) in 2009. Live at the Jazz Workshop is a live album by jazz musician Thelonious Monk, recorded during two shows at the Jazz Workshop in San Francisco in 1964 and first released in 1982, by Columbia Records. In 1998, Columbia/Legacy reissued Thelonious Monk's 1964 album Live at the It Club as a double-disc set that contained all of his performances from that night. In many respects, the set was an entirely new album.
