Barbara Dickson's 'Answer Me' was originally released in 1976 on RSO Records and this is the first time it has been issued on CD. It comes with seven additional bonus tracks and includes a mixture of original songs, plus covers of hits by Curtis Mayfield, Bill Withers, Mentor Williams and others. If you know Barbara's music, you will not be disappointed with this album at all. As well as the title track, other notable songs included are a cover of the Bill Withers hit Lean ON Me as well as a cover of the 1963 Skeeta Davis song, End Of The World, and the Dobbie Grey classic Driftaway. All the songs have Barbara's hallmark interpretation and her voice is crisp and clear. I am unqualified to pass judgement on the technical quality of the CD.
