Their 2002 debut album, Living in America, was recorded in Stockholm and produced by Adel Dahdal and Jimmy Monell. It earned them several "Best Newcomer" awards, a Grammy, a No. 4 position in the Swedish album charts, and established the band not only in Sweden but also in the United States. The band has played over 500 gigs since the album's release including participating in the 2004 Warped Tour. In early October 2007, The Sounds wrapped up their worldwide tour in Western Europe and Australia. One of the band's songs, the synthpop-tinged, "Hurt You", was used in a Geico television commercial that originally aired in September 2008 Rock" list.
Their first album, Living in America debuted at on the Swedish album charts and the band began touring the USA in March of 2003. This August, The Sounds will wrap up their first Warped Tour. That’s right, punk rockers like The Sounds. I consider myself at least half-punk rocker so it is with authority that I present them in this genre, though they are perhaps not your everyday hardcore punk rock. The Sounds are punk the way the B-52′s are punk, inadvertently. The band has an air of 80′s triumph about them that makes for a pleasing personal soundtrack. I’ve found that no matter what the situation, listening to this album blends in.

America is the debut studio album by America, released in 1971. It was initially released without "A Horse with No Name", which was released as a single in late 1971. When "A Horse with No Name" became a worldwide hit in early 1972, the album was re-released with that track. The album went to No. 1 on the Billboard album chart in the United States and stayed there for five weeks
By their fifth album, Kiss were the most popular band in America, with sold-out stadium tours and eventually their own pinball machine, makeup line and a TV movie. Built around the proto power ballad Beth, this is a ridiculously over-the-top party-rock album that just gets better with age. Listen here. Guitar Town is the rocker’s version of country, packed with songs about hard living in the Reagan Eighties. But the band from East . was a surprise success, mixing traditional Mexican sounds with blues and rockabilly for rough roots rock.
in america Sounds Latest album was released this year called Something To Die For, I’ve been listening to a couple of tracks from it and it sounds very indie-ish, it’s not too shabby to be honest but I still have to make my mind up for it so I’ll get back to you on that one! For the time being enjoy this little happy song!
