The Autumn Stone is a posthumous retrospective double album, and the second compilation album released in the UK by Small Faces in 1969 on the Immediate label. The double album contains most of the Small Faces' Immediate and Decca original 7" single releases, together with live recordings from a concert at Newcastle City Hall and previously unreleased material, some of which was possibly intended for the band's projected but unrealised fourth LP, 1862.

The Autumn City formed in August 2013. Rooted in the city of Texarkana, Texas, the town that dreaded sundown, the band formed with the purpose of making music with themes of emotion, creativity, adventure and good vibes. The band signed with Award Winning Producer Frank Pryor's Artistry Entertainment Group and starting December 3rd, will release a new single every month for the next twelve month.

Such epic material has become fairly standard in the CCM world, where the influence of U2 and Coldplay is never more than a guitar riff away. The Outsiders also flirts with touches of roots rock and traditional gospel, though, from the title track's powerful Southern stomp to the sheer power of Bear Rinehart's voice. Like Will Hoge, Rinehart puts a contemporary spin on the raw, gritty sounds of Joe Cocker and Otis Redding, and his strong delivery is almost preacher-like in its intensity.
