Nigel Hess certainly delivers what's advertised - Imposing orchestra pieces. Mostly bright orchestral moves here with a certain driving force behind the music. Good listen overall.

This is actually a high class LP here. The music is sleek, purposeful, pacy, yet still retains a high level of class and refinement. Those looking for interesting and refined funky grooves will find something to like here, as this is contemporary late-70s orchestral funk at a high level. Some very dynamic string and horn arrangements as well. It reminds me somewhat of an NFL Library LP, with lots of themes for action and sport. Pretty great stuff overall, well worth tracking down a copy while it's cheap.I'm changing my score from 4 stars to 5! Recommended for fans of funky, action-oriented library music, and listeners of dignified library orchestrations!
