The Negrito of the Malacca Peninsula are among the aboriginal inhabitants of Malaya. Their music is entirely religious, and underlying its apparent simplicity is a sophisticated approach to timbre or tone-color. The Negrito (/nɪˈɡriːtoʊ/) are several different ethnic groups who inhabit isolated parts of South East Asia.
