Jukebox the Ghost recorded a cover of Ace of Base's "Beautiful Life" for Engine Room Recordings' compilation album Guilt by Association Vol. 2, which was released in November 2008. After releasing their debut album, they toured with Say Hi and Nightmare of You, among others. In 2009 they toured with Ben Folds, followed shortly by a tour with Jenny Owen Youngs in the United States.

It’s big and sweeping and epic, with the fury of a great prog rock classic, yet still sweet and intimate. It has this wonderful dedication to absolute simplicity for most of the song and chillingly sweet vocals by Thornewill, as the band learns the power they have with even the most simple of words and sounds.

Everything Under the Sun seems like an apt title for Jukebox the Ghost's second album, since this trio seems capable of pulling any sort of pop music trick out of its collective hat on a moment's notice. If it's catchy, clever and expertly executed, Jukebox the Ghost can do it, and with the cheerful élan of the kid who can always be counted on to know the answer when the teacher asks a tough question. that they can help some medicine go down with the sweetness of their music. But if Everything Under the Sun often seems a bit candy coated, it's a high grade of confectionary that they serve, and most folks who get a taste of this album are likely to come back for more.
