The Construkction of Light (stylised as the construKction of light) is the twelfth studio album by English band King Crimson, released in May 2000 by record label Virgin. By the release of the construKction of light, longtime members Bill Bruford, who debuted with the band for 1973's Larks' Tongues in Aspic, and bassist Tony Levin, who joined in 1981 had left King Crimson.

The ConstruKction Of Light is a music studio album recording by KING CRIMSON (Eclectic Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2000 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. Not really Crimson's best album (almost the opposite), I find TCOL is relying too much on elements of the past (and most notably winking at the Wetton-era) with these two elongated tracks. The real fresh material is left to be found in the excrutiatingly bad opener and in the so-called ProjeKct X trazck that closes the album.

When the individual players regrouped as King Crimson the band was now a double duo consisting of Belew, Fripp, Gunn, and Mastelotto with Tony Levin & Bill Bruford leaving to fulfil other recording and touring commitments.
