Lenny Breau is an album by Maine-born guitarist Lenny Breau, released in 1979. Originally released on Direct-Disk Labs, it was reissued in 1995 on the Adelphi label and as Lenny Breau Trio on CD on the Genes label in 1999.

Cabin Fever (Lenny Breau album). Cabin Fever is an album by Canadian guitarist Lenny Breau, released in 1997. Breau had continual drug problems from the mid-1960s, which he only managed to get under control during the last years of his life. At one point, his friend Glen McDonald claims he isolated Breau in a remote cabin to help him straighten out and it was during this time he recorded Breau, resulting in these informal tracks done on solo acoustic guitar.

Lenny Breau is widely recognised as one of the greatest guitarists that has ever lived. He excelled technically, being able to play bass lines, comp chords and pick out a melody at the same time. As his career progressed his artistic approach to the guitar matured, and he was able to use his mastery of a number of styles, including jazz, country and flamenco, to produce a shimmering, emotionally charged soundscape.

Though he never achieved commercial success, Lenny Breau is revered as an innovator for his unique finger-style chord melody technique, stunning pinch harmonic runs and wide musical vocabulary. Atkins, who knew the Breau family through RCA records, heard one of Breau’s tapes and agreed to record his first album with his jazz trio, Three. He recorded one more live album later that year, but due to a lack of commercial success would not record again under his own name until the late Seventies. Over the next decade, Breau played jazz clubs, taught lessons and did studio work while gaining a cult following amongst jazz fans and his fellow musicians.

The late Lenny Breau, an underground hero, is considered such a masterful guitarist by his admirers that it somehow does not seem surprising that the Guitarchives label was started specifically to release his music. This two-CD set (which was put out in 1995) contains a previously unreleased duet concert from 1983 featuring Breau and bassist Dave Young. The music (full of close musical communication) is subtle and quiet yet consistently inventive. It is obvious after a few minutes of listening that Breau had complete control of his guitar and an original voice of his own. Although most of the.
