Anders Parker - The Man Who Fell From Earth album flac

It’s called THE MAN WHO FELL FROM EARTH. I wrote the songs during the winter of 2016 in the mountains of Upstate New York. I then recorded the songs in those same mountains. The album is me singing and playing acoustic guitar accompanied by a string trio and a pedal steel.

Ironically, considering the title, The Man Who Fell From Earth sounds particularly earthbound. The gentle motion of Parker’s guitar; the sound of his fingers sliding up and down the strings; the way those strings rattle and buzz on a harder strum; it grounds each song in a sense of intimacy, while the violins and the cellos give the whole thing a layer of soaring grandeur. It’s music that’s particularly easy to lose yourself within. The album will be released this Friday, April 14, on Recorded & Freed Records.
