Three weeks in the making, Kelvinator, Canora’s debut album has arrived. Along with producer Ronan Chris Murphy, they decided that they did not want to make one of the digitally manicured records that are so common with so many of today’s metal/hard rock bands. They shunned any fixing of performances, triggering drums with samples or auto-tuning. Love it or hate it, this is the sound of Canora.

Kelvinator was a home appliance manufacturer that is now a brand name owned by Electrolux. It takes its name from William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin, who developed the concept of absolute zero and for whom the Kelvin temperature scale is named. The name was thought appropriate for a company that manufactured ice-boxes and domestic refrigerators.
