Fetnat - Swahili EP (us013). France's Fetnat is the latest in a long line of pleasingly esoteric artists to release for the fervid Nous imprint; here over the course of five galvanic, techno-esque slabs of sound he delineates his vision, paying exquisite attention to detail in the almost imperceptible smithereens of vocal noise on tracks like 'Kaoti' and closing out the EP with a magnificent curve.

Undeniably leftfield, the whole EP does it differently, standing out from the crowd and getting them gradually off their granddad in the process.

if they were easier to get in the US, I would probably buy many of these recent Nous 12"s for the sleeve art alone, absolutely stunning and perfect "techno" design, I want to hang them on a wall! Not to detract from the music, which is consistently very-good to excellent!
