Miss You Much" is a song recorded by American singer Janet Jackson, released as the lead single from her fourth studio album Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989). The single spent four weeks at number-one on the US Billboard Hot 100, making it the longest running number-one single of 1989. Miss You Much" was the second-best selling single of 1989 and the biggest radio airplay song of the year. Billboard later listed "Miss You Much" as Janet Jackson's all-time biggest Hot 100 single
Miss You Much was released as the lead single to Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814. Shot like an arrow going through my heart That's the pain I feel I feel whenever we're apart Not to say that I'm in love with you But who's to say that I'm not I just know that it feels wrong When I'm away too long It makes my body hot So let me tell. I'll tell your mama I'll tell your friends I'll tell anyone whose heart can comprehend Send it in a letter baby Tell you on the phone I'm. 4. State of the World.
In 1989, as the world was going to hell, Janet Jackson was coming into her own. The pop star's ascent and the planet's downward slide intersected neatly on Rhythm Nation 1814, a socially conscious, sonically adventurous, commercially massive album released 25 years ago tomorrow, Sept. 19. Technically, Rhythm Nation is Janet’s fourth album, though her first couple don’t really count. This album was much more under the microscope. Where was she emotionally? She was in a great place emotionally. One of the things I miss about the idea of albums is we were able to sequence the album so "Rhythm Nation" comes first, straight into "State of the World," straight into "The Knowledge. After "The Knowledge," she says, "Get the point? Good - let’s dance!"
Michael Jackson: Greatest Male Performer of all time Janet Jackson: Greatest Female Performer of all time. I wish Michael and Janet would have did an album and a tour together. That would have been epic. FLASHBACK!!! Jorge Arias. I think this is the video when I got my crush, lol. Does she not have the prettiest smile the world has ever seen? You don't need skimpy clothes with a smile like that.
Design of a Decade: 1986-1996. The hits from those two albums were state-of-the-art dance-pop productions at the time of their release, filled with bottomless beats and memorable, catchy hooks. None of the songs has lost any of its impact, from the funk of "Miss You Much" and "What Have You Done for Me Lately," to the ballads "Let's Wait Awhile" and "Come Back to M. In addition to all 13 Top 40 hits from Control and Rhythm Nation - all but one went into the Top Five - Design of a Decade includes the biggest and best hit from janet

Janet Jackson is the self-titled debut album by American recording artist Janet Jackson. It was released on September 21, 1982, by A&M Records. Jackson's career as a recording artist was established by her father and manager Joseph Jackson, who arranged her recording contract with her recording company. Prior to her rise to fame, the singer had no interest in pursuing a musical career. Janet Jackson is described as a post-disco and R&B record. Songwriters Angela Winbush and René Moore contributed to much of the album's lyrics. It also managed to chart on the Billboard 200 and in New Zealand.
