On this 2006 release, DC hardcore band Lion of Judah expand on the sound that made their 2005 EP so intriguing. While unquestionably a punk band, they avoid the monolithism of a deeply entrenched, two-generation scene by occasionally reaching for unusual chord changes, funk-based (it would be a stretch to say "funky") rhythms, and other experimental touches, doing their influences (Bad Brains, Fugazi) proud.
