Madhouse is a 1976 album by German euro-disco group Silver Convention, which at the time consisted of vocalists Penny McLean, Ramona Wolf and Rhonda Heath, along with Michael Kunze (aka Stephan Prager) and Sylvester Levay. The album is considered to be "funkier" than their previous releases"

And on the Silver Convention's third album, Madhouse, Kunze and Levay decided to play up the funkier elements in the group's Euro-disco sound. There are plenty of swirling strings on this 1976 LP, and the production is still ultra-slick. Even so, "The World Is a Madhouse," "Plastic People," and "I'm Not a Slot Machine" are among the Silver Convention's funkier offerings - certainly not funky in a Labelle or Pointer Sisters type way, but funky by the Silver Convention's Euro-disco standards.

The lyrics of Madhouse and Plastic People were a prediction of what the world has become ( fake, violent, crazy). Silver Convention's third album release, and another arranged and produced by Sylvester Levay. Here it is in it's entirety, nicely remastered, along with 2 bonus tracks - single versions of "Fancy Party" and "Dancing in the Aisles. From what I can tell, this seems to be the first time the album has been "officially" issued on CD. Classic disco! I like all the tracks, so I recommend it.
