Real Name: Héctor Bisignani. Profile: Argentinian sax and flute player (b. Buenos Aires, 1934), settled in Brazil. He was part of 'Bossa Rio' (Sérgio Mendes band) from 1962 to 1964. From 1973 to 1981, Costita joined the Nelson Ayres (2) big band. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Lalo Schifrin, Manfredo Fest, Sérgio Mendes, Zimbo Trio, Hermeto Pascoal and Elis Regina. Aliases: Don Junior, Hector Bisignani. In Groups: Bossa Rio, Hector Costita Sexteto, Os Cinco-Pados, Pau Brasil.

Hector Costita (born October 27, 1934) is a musician and composer. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, he is one of the most famous flutist and saxophonist in Brazilian music. He performed and recorded with Lalo Schifrin, Manfredo Fest, Sérgio Mendes, Zimbo Trio, Hermeto Pascoal, and Elis Regina. Hector "Costita" Bisignani was born in 1934, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Impacto is a 1964 album recorded by saxophonist and composer Hector Costita and his sextet. The album is one of the most important in the musician career and presents a fusion of bossa nova and jazz. Hector Costita elaborated all arrangements and conducted the other musicians. A long period after its recording, it was reissued on CD in 2006 as one of the albums included in Som Livre Masters series, organized by Charles Gavin.
