Stage Fright is the third studio album by Canadian-American group the Band, released in 1970. It featured two of the group's best known songs, "The Shape I'm In" and "Stage Fright", both of which showcased inspired lead vocal performances (by Richard Manuel and Rick Danko, respectively) and became staples in the group's live shows.
Stage Fright’ is pretty positive. the album is designed to make you feel good,. and was recorded in friendship. It would have been easy to make this assumption based on the sound and a couple of the songs, but with lines like. All and all, for everything that was going on with and around The Band, this album not only stands the test of time, but must be considered an essential element of any serious record collector’s musical anthology. Difficulty: intermediate. There's a young faith healer he's a woman stealer He will cure by his command When the music's hot you might have to stand To hear the Klondike Klu Klux steamboat band Don't you sweat it You can't forget it . Walcott Medicine Show. I'd rather die happy than not die at all And a man is a fool who will not heed the call.
Garth Hudson, with Helm, Danko, and Manuel's vocals on top. But the songs this time around were far more personal, and, despite a nominal complacency, quite troubling.
Stage Fright" is the title track of the Band's third album, Stage Fright. It features Rick Danko on lead vocals and was written by Robbie Robertson. According to author Barney Hoskyns, Robertson originally intended it to be sung by Richard Manuel but it became clear that the song was better suited to Danko's "nervous, tremulous voice. Live performances of the song appear on Rock of Ages, released in 1972, and on Before the Flood, a live album of The Band's 1974 tour with Bob Dylan. It was also performed at The Last Waltz
stage fright album cover, the band stage fright album art Stage Fright is the third studio album by Canadian-American group the Band released in 1970 Much more of a rock album than its predecessors, it was a departure from their previous two efforts in that its tone was darker and featured less of the harmony vocal blend that had been a centerpiece.
Overall, Stage Fright is not a textbook masterpiece, but it does work as an alternative greatest album for those too haughty, snobby, or fed up with the double crown of Big Pink and The Band, and whatever be, it sure ain't a lazy record - the concepts, feelings, general ideas may be less sweeping and impressive, but the craftsmanship level here remains at. an authentic A+. The final thumbs up has a lot to do with Hudson, in particular - the one man out there to clearly show that the best roots rock still comes fully equipped with stems, leaves, and branches.

Notes
Initial copies came with an extra wrap-around poster sleeve.Matrix runout variant most similar to variant Capitol SW-425 Stage Fright in appearance with the same exact green ''target'' Capitol labels but slightly different runout etchings in that this variant is missing the Winchester pressing plant mark of Stage Fright though both variants do have the 'STERLING' mastering stamped in both sides' runouts.
Var #1 has the same characteristics as the OP except as noted.
STERLING is machine-stamped
