The Last Poets is the debut studio album by spoken word recording artists The Last Poets. It was released in 1970 through Douglas Records. Recording sessions took place at Impact Sound Studio with production by East Wind Associates, managers of The Last Poets at the time of recording. The album peaked at on the Billboard 200 albums chart and at on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States.
Start Over is an album released by R&B artist Cheryl Lynn in 1987. This album also marks Lynn's recording debut on Manhattan Records, though it would be her only album for this label. The album charted higher than her previous release, but still stalled at on the US R&B chart. Two singles, "New Dress" and "If You Were Mine" were released, and, while the latter single just missed the R&B top ten, neither of them could revive the project.
Poetry in Motion is an arts program collaborative which displays poems by prominent authors in advertising space on the buses and subways. The program was launched by New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Poetry Society of America. Emotions in Motion is the third album by rock musician Billy Squier. It was released in July 1982, and was Squier's second consecutive Top Five disc on the Billboard album chart. It contains the hit song "Everybody Wants You", which peaked at on the Billboard Hot 100, and held at on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for 6 weeks. Further hits from the album included "Learn How to Live", "Emotions in Motion", and "She's a Runner". Billy wrote all of the album's tracks himself.
Poetry in Motion is a 1982 Canadian documentary film directed by Ron Mann featuring contemporary North American poetry and music. Featured are some of the Black Mountain poets, Beats, minimalist poets, and avant-garde poets. It was released in theaters, later being distributed on VHS, LaserDisc, and DVD. An extended CD-ROM version was also released. Poetry in Motion is Mann's second feature film.
Over is the sixth studio album by the English singer and songwriter Peter Hammill, released on Charisma Records in April 1977. It was issued for the first time on CD on Virgin Records in the early 1990s, and was reissued again in a remastered version in 2006 with bonus tracks.
