Joseph J. Bouchard (born November 9, 1948) is an American guitarist and bassist. He was the bassist for Blue Öyster Cult during their most successful period. Bouchard was born in Watertown, New York, and grew up in Clayton, New York. He is the brother of former Blue Öyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard

Joe is a founder of rock legends Blue Öyster Cult. With Blue Öyster Cult he earned 11 Gold and Platinum album awards! Not one to rest on his laurels, this is his third solo album. He also records and performs with Blue Coupe and The X Brothers. Genre: Rock: 70's Rock. His third solo album is the EP New Solid Black, released in 2014, and contains the single Memorial Day, written by Joe's long time collaborator the artist John Elwood Cook. He performs with several bands including Blue Coupe which features his brother Albert, another founding member of Blue Öyster Cult, and Alice Cooper founder and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Dennis Dunaway.

Bouchard began working on "The Power of Music" in August 2015, and the album features seven new songs and two covers. One of the covers is the BOC classic "Career Of Evil", written by Joe's brother Albert and poet Patti Smith. Career Of Evil" is also the title of the best-selling book by author . Rowling (written under the pen name Robert Galbraith), which includes many references to the band in every chapter and will be a HBO series later this year.
