America Sings was an attraction at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, United States, from 1974 to 1988. It featured a cast of audio animatronics animals that entertained the audience by singing songs from various periods in America's musical history, often in a humorous fashion. America Sings opened on June 29, 1974, replacing the General Electric-sponsored Carousel of Progress attraction, which had moved to the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort in 1973.

Sings America is an album released by David Hasselhoff in August 2004 (see 2004 in music). The album contains covers of songs originally made famous by artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys, Glen Campbell, Burt Bacharach and Madonna. The German release contains a bonus track, "More Than Words Can Say", which is the only original Hasselhoff composition on the album (written in conjunction with Wade Hubbard and Glenn Morrow). Something not quite so well-known is that he was also a very accomplished songwriter – a fact celebrated in this fifth release in our Black America Sings series. As compiler Tony Rounce points out in his notes, of the 35 R&B hits Sam amassed between 1957 and 1965, 25 were written or co-written by him, as were many of their B-sides, and he also penned quite a few numbers specifically for other artists.
