This is probably why "Techno Classics Volume 1" on the mighty Rising High label will always remain a firm favourite with me and (I think) thousands of early 1990's ravers. All the tunes are excellent, and the album is nicely varies in styles too. Bearing in mind it was released in 1992 before the scene fragmented and tunes were pigeon-holed depending on what they sounded like. Banging scary techno to early breakbeat hardcore. Volume 1 is the debut studio album by American alternative rock band CKY. Recorded at The Ground Hog Studios in Holland, Pennsylvania, it was produced, engineered and mixed by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg, and originally released on February 27, 1999 by Distant Recordings and Teil Martin International. Since its initial release under the title Camp Kill Yourself, the album has been reissued a number of times by various record labels with different titles and album covers.
