Now onto their fourth studio album, the Osaka quintet are looking to take things up another notch with Xeno. System X opens proceedings with an orchestrated string section that sounds almost like it’s been taken from a Hans Zimmer soundtrack. Closing out the album is Astral Heaven – a track quite unlike anything CROSSFAITH have ever released before. Clocking in at just over five minutes long, the track is essentially an instrumental electronic piece that brings back some of the film soundtrack qualities that System X utilised.

Crossfaith’s Xeno is a musical epic that is very now with the ever changing technological world and our place in it. Dually, this album could be a cathartic exercise for the band to release the feelings that went with Kazu’s illness. Japanese rockers CROSSFAITH have unvelied a complex comic detailing the story of their new album "Xeno". The first page has just gone live and can be viewed at ww. enocomic. Over the course of this week, a page will be revealed every day at 3 . The comic was drawn by Liam Kelleher. It blew my mind, so I started writing a story to match the fact there were so many different types of songs on the album. I created two characters - one guy who wants to destroy world, and a female cyberbrain both called Xeno.
