Letting go, carry us away Close your eyes, to see what it really means Effortless, hands to hold on to peace Drink it in, desire hit me so sweet
To me home means much more than just walls. Home means safety, a refuge from the outside world, security, love and comfort. Unexpected things can happen in life but one thing I know for sure is that the bed I sleep in today will be the same bed I’ll sleep in tomorrow, the roof thats over my head, will always be there to protect me. Spending time with my family and the little moments of joy spent together is what makes up a home.
I Am What I Am is an album by American country music artist George Jones released in 1980 on Epic Records label. It was rereleased on July 4, 2000 with bonus tracks on the Legacy Recordings label.
Life is worth so much. Life is more than spending endless hours in the gym and eating carrot and celery sticks just to seek approval from others. It is not about basing my everyday existence an eternal word of wisdom of long-dead self proclaimed philosophers and saints. My life is not about living somebody else's dreams and beliefs but my own. Life is so much more than merely pursuing the norms of the society but trying to be a good person in my own accord. It is not about wildly chasing dreams to be superior over others
Freedom means many different things to many people, but to me it means I can live in a country that believes in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I mean this is the Land of the Free. However, these are things that not everyone can experience. Freedom to me also means I can make my own decisions when it comes to my life; decisions that can make or break my future life. Freedom also gives me the chance to make my own mistakes regarding of my life and my futures. At the age of four I really did not pay that much attention to the world around me. I only wanted to play with my friends, watch cartoons on the TV, and just have fun. However that all changed when my mom remarried and we knew we were coming to America. When I got here there was one thing that stood out to me even as a four year old. There was a lot more television shows on the TV. Way more than what I was watch in Cuba.
First, freedom means independence – the ability to take care of one’s self. If you can travel by yourself, that’s part of independence. If you can fold your own clothes, that is part of independence. And if you can cook, and so on and so forth, that’s also part of independence. But you must put all of these tasks together in your day-to-day life to achieve independence, and this is part of freedom. Secondly, free-agency is part of freedom as well. Free agency is the ability to make choices for yourself. When you can make decisions about what kind of job you want, that’s free agency . Now, thirdly, independence and free agency will go together throughout your life. If you are limited in your independence, you will also be limited in your free agency. Let’s say a blind person has five choices of getting around.
After all, for all I know, this person is really into knitting sweaters for kittens or filming gay bondage porn in their basement. These questions are by no means exhaustive or definitive. In fact, they’re a little bit ridiculous
What does it mean to really love someone? This question has plagued me my entire life - or at least until recently. To put it succinctly, I’ve been a hell of a hard person to love. I’ve made a mess of the word love and everything it entails. We often see our own shortcomings as trivial and barely worth mentioning, while we seem to dramatize those of others. I’ve learned that love has to give the next moment a chance. Sometimes, life throws us curveballs and we find ourselves hurt, perhaps confused. For me to come to truly connect with this idea took nearly breaking the heart of the person who’s heart I now hold most dear. I’m still patching up the wounds.
