The Second Time" is the first single from Kim Wilde's 1984 album Teases & Dares. It was re-titled "Go for It" for the North American market. The track was also Wilde's first release on the MCA record label. Her last few releases on her original label had failed to make an impact on the world's charts, but this one finally put her back into the limelight in several European countries, and made in the UK. It also marked her second chart entry in the US, where it peaked at #65.
Kim Wilde is the eponymous debut studio album by British singer Kim Wilde, released on June 29, 1981 via the RAK label. The songs on the album were all written by Kim's father, the successful 1950s rock and roll singer Marty Wilde, and her younger brother Ricky Wilde and most of the music was played by the then current line-up of the symphonic rock band The Enid. Production duties were fulfilled by Ricky Wilde. The cover portraits were taken by renowned British photographer Gered Mankowitz.
Kim Wilde (born Kim Smith; 18 November 1960) is an English pop singer, author, DJ and television presenter. She first saw success in 1981 with her debut single "Kids in America", which reached number two in the UK. In 1983, she received the Brit Award for Best British Female solo artist. In 1986, she had a UK number two hit with a reworked version of the Supremes' song "You Keep Me Hangin' On", which also topped the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1987

Moving on to Kim Wilde. There is no doubt that a similar box set comprising Kim Wilde’s singles output from the Eighties and Nineties would create a lot of interest. Recent re-releases of her Eighties albums have been solid sellers for Cherry Pop Records and Universal respectively. Having been involved in all these re-releases, I thought it would be an idea to outline what a box set like this would look like. The Second Time (Album version). Go For It (Extended Dance version). Go For It (Dub version). The Second Time (US remix). The Touch (7 version). Whether this box set will ever be officially released remains to be seen. In the mean time, those fans who already own all of the tracks may use this list to compile their own playlists. You can be sure that no officially released track is missing. Unless, of course, you know something I don’t.
Long overdue Deluxe 2CD revamp for Kim Wilde’s fourth studio album, originally released in 1984 and a UK National Chart N. 6 hit and N. 2 in Germany (N. 4 in the USA Billboard Hot 100) Includes the hit singles The Touch (UK, No 50, Germany N. 9 and Holland N. 0), The Second Time (UK N. 9, Germany. Kim was the Most Successful British Solo Female Artist of the 80's (17 hit singles) and in France she is known as the Bridgette Bardot of Rock. Following the disappointing sales of her previous album, the excellent but barely known Catch As Catch Can, the pouting pop princess Kim Wilde was dropped from Mickie Most's record label RAK, but quickly signed up again by the recording giant MCA in 1984. This was to be a long association with would keep her in hits until 1995
