Dan Whitehouse (born 9 March 1979) is an English folk musician. He is known for his distinctive voice and understated songwriting, and uses specially adapted instruments for people with disabilities. His 2012 album Reaching for a State of Mind was made with percussionist Chip Bailey, a collaborator of Duke Special, and won critical acclaim as having lyrical vulnerability and imaginative musical settings.

The band's 2003 album Bird Seed was given an 'honourable mention' in the digital musics category of Austria's annual Prix Ars Electronica awards. As Nick Cain of The Wire put it, By the end of the 1990s, power electronics was in a deep freeze. Another Crack of the White Whip (compilation) (1991). Tokyo Halogen (live album) (1995). Whitehouse is an English power electronics band formed in 1980. They are known for their controversial lyrics and images (which are often interpreted as misogynistic, sexually deviant, and extremely violent). The band's members have been the subject of censorship in the past. Their name is in mock tribute to the British moral campaigner Mary Whitehouse; it is also a reference to a British pornographic magazine of the same name. The group's founding member and sole constant is William Bennett.

De Stijl /də ˈsteɪl/ is the second studio album by the American garage rock band The White Stripes, released on June 20, 2000 on Sympathy for the Record Industry. The album reached number thirty-eight on Billboard's Independent Albums chart in 2002, when The White Stripes' popularity began to grow.

The White Stripes is the debut studio album by American alternative rock duo The White Stripes, released on June 15, 1999. White dedicated the album to deceased blues musician Son House. Johnny Walker of the Soledad Brothers played slide guitar on two songs: "Suzy Lee" and "I Fought Piranhas"

White mixes up prog-rock, poetry, trip-hop, jazzy interludes, retro funk, and his signature hard rock riffing in a "Boarding House" that doubles as funhouse.
