Produced by Pete Bellotte & Giorgio Moroder. Dim All the Lights Lyrics. Dim all the lights sweet darling 'Cause tonight it's all the way Turn up the old victrola Gonna dance the night away. Love just don't come easy No it seldom does When you find the perfect love Let it fill you up. Dim all the lights, sweet honey 'Cause tonight it's you and me No need to worry darlin' Cause it's for eternity. Love don't come easy This you know I understand Want to be your woman If you'll be my man Let yourself go freely and I'll Show you things that you've dreamed of Don't think that you're dreaming We've found the perfect love And I'm like a cup come fill me u. .

Complete your Donna Summer collection. It just starts with looped passages and they eventually bring in orchestral parts, actual vocals and the ending from MacArthur Park, which qualifies it as a medley. Of all the extended versions of Donna Summer 12"s from this period, like With Your Love, Hot Stuff and Sunset People, this longer version of Heaven Knows does not make the grade. Just because a version is longer does not automatically mean it is better. There are exceptions when a shorter version is the better, more concise version from start-to-finish, and the 45/7" single of Heaven Knows is one of them.

Bad Girls is the seventh studio album by American singer and songwriter Donna Summer, released in April 25, 1979 on Casablanca Records. Originally issued as a double album, Bad Girls became the best-selling album of Summer's career. The album spent 6 weeks at the top of Billboard's Hot 200 albums in 1979, one week on June 16, 1979 and 5 consecutive weeks, from July 7 to August 4, 1979. It contained the number one hits "Hot Stuff" and "Bad Girls", and the number two hit "Dim All the Lights".

Donna Summer originally wrote this song for Rod Stewart, before changing her mind at the last minute and recording it for her Bad Girls album. It was her only hit single that she wrote alone, with no co-writers. Manning the production desk was Summer's longtime collaborators Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte

The long version of Heaven Knows is really not an extended mix of the original track with original or enhanced production elements. This long version does not have the distinctive swirling violin intro like on the 45/7" single or the distinctive horn/orchestral segment. It just starts with looped passages and they eventually bring in orchestral parts, actual vocals and the ending from MacArthur Park, which qualifies it as a medley.Of all the extended versions of Donna Summer 12"s from this period, like With Your Love, Hot Stuff and Sunset People, this longer version of Heaven Knows does not make the grade. Just because a version is longer does not automatically mean it is better. There are exceptions when a shorter version is the better, more concise version from start-to-finish, and the 45/7" single of Heaven Knows is one of them. Another one is the US promo-only 12" edit of Rock Lobster by the B-52's which is a better mastering/pressing and has more club appeal than the LP version which is too long.
