Primordial - Dark Romanticism album flac

Primordial is an extreme metal band from Skerries, County Dublin, Ireland. It was formed in 1987 by Pól MacAmhlaigh (bass) and Ciarán MacUiliam (guitars). Their sound blends black metal and doom metal with Celtic music. Primordial was the first black metal styled band to emerge from Ireland with the release of their Dark Romanticism demo in the early summer of 1993 (Cruachan were also active at this time combining black metal with folk music). The band initially came to the attention of Lee Barrett from the UK label Candlelight Records but he failed to move on signing the band, so after a live soundboard recording from Dublin from 1994 was sent to Cacophonous Records (Cradle of Filth, Bal Sagoth, et., the band signed with them for the release of their debut album Imrama.

Seriously, fuck the Dark Romanticism demo re-release, it's great, we already know that, no matter how many times you try to clean it up. I've got to say, those live tracks kick ass. The first two, "In Graciousness" & "A Blacker Art" are ok, but the covers are awesome. Wow, what a sweet cover song from a band that Primordial took so much influence in their early work from. Alan's vocals are akin to Nocturno Culto's, as with O'Laoghaire's drumming being on par with Fenriz. This has to be easily one of the most accurate, underrated, and respected cover songs of all time. The tempo is almost of that to which Primordial has taken so much respect from, that it makes the song on par with that of Darkthrone's original masterpiece
