Citizen is a rock band from Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio. The band consists of five members: Mat Kerekes (vocals), Nick Hamm (lead guitar), Jake Duhaime (drums), Ryland Oehlers (rhythm guitar), & Eric Hamm (bass). They are currently signed to Run For Cover Records. Mat Kerekes first formed the band in 2009 after departing as the drummer from his previous band, The Sound of Glory.

Rocket J (aka Joanne Van Vranken) has been singing Rockabilly since she was a mere baby in the early 80’s. In 2014 she released a CD of recordings she had done during the 90’s with her old band The 88’s and Matt Verta-Ray of Heavy Trash. Figuring it was time to get back to work, in October 2016 she went into the studio at Acadia Recording Company in Portland, Maine. Acadia is now the home of all the original recording equipment that once belonged to Al Hawkes and Event Records, the same equipment that recorded Curtis Johnson’s Baby Baby and Dick Curless’ Streets of Laredo.
