The Architect is the fourth studio album by British singer Paloma Faith, released by Sony Music Entertainment on 17 November 2017. Faith stated, "The Architect is a social observation record. I was adamant that I wouldn't write about love. I wanted to look outside of myself. I'm coming at politics from the perspective of the common man or woman, observing why people are suffering. Each song on the record is about a different pocket of the socio-political world that I've been delving into
The Architect Lyrics. I gave you my everything, but it was never enough for you And just like young lovers do, we made mistakes we can't undo Whatever I do for you, you will never be satisfied You bathe in my waters, 'til the dying of the tide. I'll give you heaven, I'll give you hell I'm raising my huntsmen, I'm casting my spell And if I all I have is to be wasted away I'll save myself tonight, I can't take the pain

Paloma Faith calls her fourth album a social observation record, and it begins with a spoken-word intro from Samuel L Jackson, who tells us, Do not be fearful of evolution – the time is now. Then there’s another track on which Faith’s backing singers explain why they feel like pawns. Aside from these interludes, ‘The Architect’ feels like business as usual for Faith, whose previous three albums all went double platinum. She says she wrote ‘Guilty’ about the Brexit vote and interprets ‘Warrior’, which was actually written by Sia, as a song about the refugee crisis. But it’s hard to imagine many listeners will realise: the album’s glossy production and lyrical vagueness mean these songs could just as easily be about relationships.
In 2016, Paloma announced that she was working on her fourth studio album, whose title was then supposed to be Theres More To Life Than Love. Today, that was recanted, as Paloma made two announcements. The first of the two was that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Leyman Lahcine . In 2016, Paloma announced that she was working on her fourth studio album, whose title was then supposed to be There's More To Life Than Love. The second was the new title and projected date for the fourth album's release: The Architect and 2017, after the birth of her child. In an interview with BBC Radio 2 on September 1st, 2017, Paloma premiered the first single "Crybaby" and discussed tracks from the album.
Paloma Faith’s first 3 albums went double platinum, joining Adele as the only British female artist this decade to achieve that feat, putting Paloma on course to become the first ever British female artist to achieve four double platinum records.
The Architect is Faith’s first album since 2014, and although she has kept quite busy with new events professionally and personally– being a coach on the UK’s The Voice, having a child – her new songs don’t sound so different from those off her first three albums. That isn’t bad, though, as she excels at filling an album with her broad, brassy vocals and relentless choruses that instantly draw you into each track
