Songs for the Deaf was released in August, again featuring Mark Lanegan, as well as adding former A Perfect Circle guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen to the touring line up following the album's release. Although Songs for the Deaf gained major attention, Grohl returned to his other projects and was replaced on the European leg of the album's supporting tour by former Danzig drummer Joey Castillo, who joined the band full time. Songs for the Deaf is the 3rd studio album from Queens of the Stone Age, released on August 27, 2002. The album marks the transition from a looser sound in its predecessor, Rated R, and into a heavier, riff-driven rock. It is known for the singles Go With the Flow and No One Knows, two of the best-known songs from the band, and also from the feature of Dave Grohl on drums.

Songs for the Deaf is the third studio album by American rock band Queens of the Stone Age, released on August 27, 2002 by Interscope Records.

It’s a joke run wild, punctuated by an ironic mock DJ, and it fits an album where the players run wild. As usual, Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri have brought in a number of guests, including Mark Lanegan on vocals and Dean Ween on guitar, but they’ve anchored themselves with the drumming of the mighty Dave Grohl, who helps give the band the muscle sorely missing from most guitar rock these days, whether it's indie rock or insipid alt-metal. QOTSA may be a muso band - a band for musicians and those who have listened to too much music; why else did the greatest drummer and greatest guitarist.

I believe this pressing comes in various colours. The copy i got was pink marbled and clear discs. Terrible pressing not only for surface noise but also unintended distortion in some of the tracks.Avoid!

Typo: "Who Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar". Has anyone listened to this pressing? I'm considering grabbing this from eBay.

Maybe it's just a pure question of luck with these kind of unofficial boots, but mine, for a boot, sounds ok. Yes there's a constant light crackling throughout the whole album and it feels here and there kind of fuzzy, but i'd give it a 6 all things considered, mainly because it lets you decently spin an otherwise quite impossible to find album on vinyl. The guys who did this could definitely do better btw, i have an unofficial pressing of the first qotsa that sounds perfect for example

I am disappointed, too. It is one of my favourite albums but the sound of this pressing is awful.

Thanks for your feedback on this pressing. It is greatly appreciated.

I did grab it and I was pretty disappointed with the quality. I recommend avoiding this pressing.

Did you grab it? If so, how's the sound quality?
