Adam & The Antz ‎– Meet The Ants. Meet The Ants ‎(LP, Comp, Unofficial, Yel).

Adam and the Ants were an English rock band active during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The group, which lasted from 1977 to 1982, existed in two incarnations, both fronted by Adam Ant. The first, founded in May 1977 and known simply as The Ants until November that year, achieved considerable cult popularity during the transition from the punk rock era to the post-punk and new wave era, and were noted for their high camp and overtly sexualised stage performances and songs.

One of the most comprehensive Ants collections, Stand & Deliver covers all the phases of Adam Ant's journey, from the original punky lineup of Adam & The Ants to the world-beating, double-drummer pop of Kings of the Wild Frontier to Mr. Ant's solo work.

Adam and the Ants were a new wave band during the late 1970s and early 1980s. It was one of the bands at the time that marked the transition from the '70s punk rock era to the new-wave post punk-music era. Although the band started off with a punk-influenced sound, it soon moved on to New Wave motivated by new sources such as the drum-heavy "Burundi Beat" heard on "Dog Eat Dog".
